Chelsea have been questioned by HMRC officials in connection with the raids on West Ham United and Newcastle United this morning.

Stamford Bridge was not raided itself but HMRC officers made a request for information related to their investigation into corruption in football.

No allegations of wrongdoing have been made against anyone at Chelsea but it is clear there is some link between the transfers being investigated at Newcastle and West Ham.
