The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) honored the memory of Chinedu Udoji during the opening ceremony of the Aiteo/NFF Awards on Monday.

Udoji died on Sunday in a ghastly car crash – on his way to Kaduna – after the NPFL match against his former club, Enyimba.

A minute’s silence was observed in honor of the 29-year-old.

Brila.net gathered that he was on his way to see his family, after his wife put to bed.

He was honored “for his contribution to Nigerian football.”
