Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze won Villarreal’s revelation player award for the 2018/2019 season at the Club awards night held on Tuesday.
The revelation of the year award is created by the Spanish club to celebrate the Club’s break out player of the season.
However Chukwueze’s excellent performance for the Yellow Submarine in his first senior season with the Club didn’t not go unnoticed, as he was presented with his first senior career award on Tuesday.
The 20-year-old winger scored five goals in 26 La Liga appearance last season and helped the Club to retain their top division elite status .
The 2019 African Cup of Nations bronze medalist collected his award alongside former Arsenal captain Santi Carzola who picked up the player of season award and Toko Ekambi who was the club’s top scorer during the campaign.
Chukwueze was on the score sheet for Villarreal in their first Spanish La Liga game of 2019/2020 season against Granada at the Weekend.
