Nigerian youngster Samuel Chukwueze was in action for 90 minutes as Villarreal fell to a 2-1 defeat against Barcelona at the Nou Camp on Tuesday.
The exciting winger returned to the starting eleven of the Yellow Submarine side after he came off the bench in last weekend’s 2-0 win over Real Valladolid.
The 20-year-old was on for the entire duration of the game at Camp nou , but couldn’t save his from defeat to a below per Barcelona side who are willing to get back to winning ways following their defeat to Ramon Azeez’s Granada last weekend.
Antoine Greizmann and Arthur Melo gave Barcelona 2-0 lead 26 minutes into the first half, before former Arsenal’s Captain, Santiago Cazorla reduced the deficit, one minute before half time whistle.
However, both side failed to add to their tally in the second half, as Barcelona held on for a nervy win.
Chukwueze has scored once and recorded one assist in five league appearances for the Yellow Submarines this season.
