Samuel Chukwueze’s snub from the Super Eagles list to face Seychelles in the 2019 AFCON qualifier and international friendly against Egypt is befuddling despite the high praise the youngster earned from Eagles Head Coach, Gernot Rohr recently.
Although the young winger has seen his playing minutes cut at his La Liga club side, Villarreal CF, following the battle for safety in the division, he remains crucial to the yellow submarines and mustn’t lose track he’s in the developmental phase according to former Super Eagles and Real Sociedad midfielder Mutiu Adepoju.
Speaking with brila.net about the youngster, Adepoju said, the players needs focus and look ahead to breaking more grounds.
‘He should be focused, he must avoid distractions from the glamour around a rising star and keep looking ahead with target locked on the mission,’ Adepoju stated.
