Samuel Chukwueze broke his La Liga duck for Villarreal in their comeback win over Valencia on Saturday.
The winger has not scored in the league since in April, but ended the drought with a fine strike in the first half.
Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani gave Valencia the lead in the 21st minute before Chukwueze restored parity in the first half added time
The Super Eagles forward controlled the pass from Gerrard Moreno before placing the ball beyong Valencia’s goalkeeper.
The 23-year-old was later replaced by Jose Luis Morales in the 72nd minute.
The Yellow Submarines then grabbed the winner two minutes from time, thanks to a goal from Argentine World Cup winner left Juan Foyth.
The win took Villarreal‘s tally to 24, and they moved to 7th position in the league table.
