Chukwueze off to flyer under new Villarreal boss Setién

Samuel Chukwueze became the first player to score under new Villarreal manager Quique Setién.

The winger found the back of the net as Villarreal played out a 2-2 draw against Hapoel Be’er Sheva F.C. in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday.

Setién replaced Unai Emery who moved to Aston Villa and the former Barcelona manager named Samuel Chukwueze in his first starting 11.

The Nigerian justified the decision, with the equalizer for the former Europa League Champions.

It was also his first goal for the Yellow Submarines, after firing blank in the last ten matches.

Chukwueze played the full 90 minutes and he contributed one (1) goal, had two (2) shots on target, one (1) off target, and struck the woodwork.

He also had an 84.2% pass accuracy, with one (1) long ball played, two (2) of his four (4) dribble attempts successful, and one (1) big chance missed.

Villarreal will return to action this weekend where they’ll travel to the San Mames Stadium to face Athletic Bilbao on Sunday and the Nigerian will be hoping for another appearance under the new boss.
