Claudio Ranieri set to become next Italy manager

Former Leicester City Coach, Claudio Ranieri is in line to become the next manager of Italy, according to a valid media report.

That is the aftermath of the 66-year-old Ranieri admitting he will depart the French team should he get the Italian National position.

Ranieri who led Leicester City to a Premier League title success in the 2015/16 season became Nantes boss last summer.

And ever since that time, the former Chelsea and AS Monaco has gone on to deliver lovely results this term.

That particularly is the situation with the side sitting fifth in Ligue 1 and fighting for a Europa League spot.

Italy, meanwhile, is in the search for a new tactician in the wake of Gian Piero Ventura’s dismissal last November.

And that is as a result of the failure of the Azzurri to qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup.

“Any Italian coach would love to be in charge of his country’s national team,” Ranieri disclosed to Sky Sports Italia.

“I have a contract with Nantes for two years and I have not received any messages, so I can’t say anything.

“But if I were to have a contact for the Italy job, I’d go to the Nantes president and seek permission.” He summed up.
