Cyriel Dessers says Feyenoord are coming into the Conference League final against AS Roma with enough confidence to play for victory.
The Dutch side will clash with Jose Mourinho’s AS Roma in Tirana, Albania for the final of Europa Conference League on Wednesday.
Dessers told Uefa.com in an interview ahead of game that, they are not afraid of AS Roma and they have confidence in their abilities.
“I’m really looking forward to it,” Dessers said. ” Playing finals is all you care about when you’re a top sportsman and especially special matches like these against Roma; that goes without saying. I’m really looking forward to it and I hope it’s going to be the greatest game of my life.”
“We are confident. We’re not afraid of the big name of Roma,” the Nigerian Forward continued.
“We are aware of our qualities; we know what we can do. We will have to be at our best, that’s for sure, but we also know that if we are, we can beat almost every team,” He told concluded.
Dessers is the leading scorer in the tournament with 10 goals and 2 assists from 12 appearances.
