The Super Falconet of Nigeria got their 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign off a flying start with a win over pre-tournament favorites France.
The Nigerians beat the French 1-0 at the San Jose Stadium early this morning to give themselves massive chances of qualifying for the next round.
The game was closely contested by both sides, but Flourish Sabastine separated both sides with her winner in the 85th minute.
Two-time finalists, Nigeria will next face South Korea in her second game on Sunday.
