Covid-19: Musa Kida urges Nigerians to adhere to social distance rules

The President of Nigeria Basketball Federation Engr Musa Kida has urged Muslim faithful in Nigeria have been enjoined to use the 30 days Ramadan period to offer supplications to Allah on behalf of Nigeria as it faces one of its most difficult period.

Kida said the holy month has afforded Nigerians another opportunity to seek the face of Allah for a better country where everybody will leave in harmony and prosperity.

“This is a unique month for our Muslim brothers and sisters around the world. As a country and federation, we must use this holy month to embark on a self-searching journey and soberly reflect on where we have gone wrong.”

According to the number one basketball administrator in Nigeria, the world needs prayer for global peace and full recovery from the dreaded coronavirus.

While wishing all a unique holy month to remember, he prayed that “Allah will accept all our Ibadah towards humanity and reward it abundantly.”

“I will also implore all Nigerians and basketball players to adhere strictly to the directives of the National Centre for Disease Control in curtailing the continued spread of Covid-19. Increased cases means there are numerous internal transmissions. As citizens we must act responsibly to save ourselves, loved ones and save the world.”

He stressed the need for selfless giving to the poor and needy who have continued to struggle to cope with the economic effects of the lockdown while wishing all Ramadan Kareem.
