Croatia set to play in the World Cup for the 5th time and have been drawn alongside the Super Eagles and will also play against the Nigerian team in Group D’s opener.

 

Coach Zlatko Dalic has named a 24-man preliminary squad but one player is expected to face a cut from the group. Dalic was appointed the caretaker manager in October 2017, Dalic, made his job permanent in November before delivering play-off passage.

 

Over time, Dalic has opted to play the formation 4-3-3 in recent matches including the 2-0 defeat to the Samba boys of Brazil in a Pre-World Cup friendly.
