Dallas Wings forward Amy Okonkwo has stated that she earnestly hopes to be in the squad for Nigeria’s D’Tigress ahead of the team’s participation at this summer’s Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Okonkwo who is just trying out with Women NBA side Dallas Wings believes that the opportunity to play at the women NBA will enhance her game and boost her chances of being part of the Nigeria roster for the games after having been invited for the first phase of camping held February 2021 in Atlanta under the watchful eye if D’Tigress coach Otis Hughley.
“I think this opportunity with the Dallas Wings definitely is a confidence booster for me going into possible opportunities with the Nigerian team. I’m super thankful for the opportunity and it’s a really good chance for me to get better, learn and apply that to my game.”
