David Moyes set to return to Everton as Marco Silva leaves club

Former Manchester United boss David Moyes looks set to get back in management after being established as the strong favourite to take over from departed Marco Silva.

The Toffees have had a wretched season and were beaten 5-2 in the Merseyside derby in midweek and are currently in the relegation zone.

Everton entertains Chelsea at Goodison Park on Saturday and Moyes, who spent 11 years in charge of the club before leaving for Manchester United in 2013, could be in the dugout.

Since his departure from Old Trafford, the Scot has managed Real Sociedad and Sunderland before having a brief spell at West Ham.

It has been reported that former Everton midfielder Tim Cahill could return as assistant manager.

Moyes made his managerial name at Deepdale when he guided the club to the third tier title and the 2001 Championship play-off final.
