Leicester City boss Dean Smith insists Wilfred Ndidi remains an important member of his squad, despite the recent criticisms against the Midfielder.
Ndidi is having a season to forget, a situation made worse due to his frequent visits to the doctor’s table and an almost zero pre-season.
The midfielder’s poor run of form has affected the Foxes negatively with the former Premier League Champions fighting for their lives in relegation zone.
Smith however, stated that Ndidi will get back to his usual form before the end of the season.
“I like Wilf, I think he’s a really good player. He’s one that protects, and people sometimes miss the fact he defends our box really well aerially and physically.
“He can be a threat in the opposition box as well. There are many aspects to his game that can help us.”
Ndidi was on parade as Leicester City defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 on Saturday.
