Coach of Nigeria’s second representative in the newly introduced Africa basketball league Defenders basketball club Paul Gombwer has expressed delight following the progression of the Nigeria Premier basketball league side from the group phase of the Africa basketball league to the Elite 8.
Gombwer speaking in a chat with www.brila.net hailed the commitment and the dedication of the players who gave their all to ensure that Nigeria eventually have a representative in the next round following Rivers Hoopers crash from the competition a week ago in Morocco.
The Nigerian club side qualified from the group stage winning two of three games played to finish second where they picked the last ticket to the Elite 8 in Cotonou.
