Deji Ayeni blames lack of concentration for Sunshine Stars defeat to Rangers

Coach Deji Ayeni of Sunshine Stars blamed lack of concentration for his side’s defeat to Rangers on Sunday.

 

The Owena Whales were brought down to earth by the Flying Antelopes, three days after earning their first league win since January.

 

Early goals from Israel Abia, Ifeanyi Nweke, Godspower Aniefok and Christian Nnaji put Rangers 4-0 ahead in the first half, before Kolade Adeniji scored a consolation from the penalty spot in the first half.

 

Speaking after the game, but Coach Ayeni said lack of confidence and concentration in the early stage of the game cost his team a point.
