Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Nigerian-born English footballer Dele Alli has signed a new contract, keeping him at the club until 2024.
The midfielder has been holding talks with the Spurs hierarchy since the end of last season and has now pledged his future to the club until 2024.
It is thought that the new deal will improve his earnings from £50,000-a-week to around £90,000-a-week. In doing so, the England international becomes one of the club’s top earners.
The 22-year-old joined Spurs for a bargain £5million from MK Dons in 2015 and has become a full England international under Mauricio Pochettino’s guidance.
Dele returned to action as a late substitute in last night’s 1-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City after nearly a month out with a hamstring problem.
Spurs confirmed the news via their official Twitter account.
