Striker Emmanuel Dennis is satisfied with Watford’s performance in the opening game of the English Championship match against Sheffield United.
Dennis and his teammates got their campaign off to a win, beating the Blades narrowly by 1-0 at Vicarage Road on Monday.
Joao Pedro got the winner for the Hornets in the second half of the encounter, following a good work from Dennis and Ismaila Sarr.
Speaking with the Club’s website, Dennis applauded the squad for securing the three points.
“We had a difficult season, last season, in the Premier League. This time we came out to play good football, give the fans something to be happy about and I’m happy.
“The whole team was brilliant and we won the game,” The Nigerian international was quoted on Watfordfc.com.
Next for Watford is a trip to the Hawthorns, where they’ll take on Oluwasemilogo Ajayi’s West Bromwich Albion.
