Dennis shines in Watford’s slim win over Sheffield United

Emmanuel Dennis was in action for Watford FC in the narrow win against Sheffield United in Monday’s English Championship game.

Despite the uncertainty around his future at the club, Dennis was handed a starting berth and involved in the only goal of the game.

The Hornets got the winner eleven minutes into the second half as Dennis and Sarr combined to set up Joao Pedro for the only goal of the game.

Dennis however saw action for 90 minutes and was applauded by the Vicarage Road crowd after the game.

The Nigerian has been linked with a move to Everton and Newcastle in recent weeks, but it’s looking very likely he could remain with the club beyond the current transfer window.

Meanwhile his Super Eagles teammates Maduka Okoye was not included in the squad for the game, while Samuel Kalu was on the bench.
