Super Eagles winger Emmanuel Dennis featured in Nottingham Forest’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg defeat to Manchester United on Wednesday.

The Nigerian international started from the bench as Coach Steve Cooper began the battle at City Ground with Brennan Johnson, Sam Surridge and Morgan Gibbs-White.

With Forest down by two first goals from Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst, the decided to bring on Dennis to help provide the needed spark in the attack.

Dennis was introduced in the 64th minute for Sam Surridge while Taiwo Awoniyi is still out with injury.

It was an introduction that means little or nothing as United went on to score the third in stoppage time to put one foot in the final of the competition.

Dennis has just a goal in the four league cup appearances for the Reds.

United will host Forest in the return leg billed for Old Trafford on Wednesday, February 1st.
