Dessers banking on Cremonese partnership with Okereke

Cyriel Dessers says he’s enjoying his partnership with compatriot David Okereke, saying it’s just matter of time for the fans to start seeing the results on the pitch.

Dessers and Okereke both left Belgian giants Genk and Club Brugge respectively to sign for Cremonese in the last transfer window.

The Nigerian forwards have started most games together the club, they have just two goals and one assists between them.

Over the weekend neither managed to find their range as Cremonese lost 4-0 to Lazio at the Zini Stadium, but Dessers is adamant, that they’ll get it right soon.

“It was a difficult match, not only for the strikers but also for the whole team,” said Dessers.

“We didn’t play like we did in the other games, considering that Lazio are a high quality team that can count on players like Immobile and Milinkovic Savic.”

“But the feeling with Okereke is growing and we hope to show it in the next match against Lecce which is very important for us. There we will have to show that last Sunday’s game was an exception,” He said.
