Cyriel Dessers says his dream is to play in one of the most competitive leagues in Europe and he’s not giving up on it.
Dessers was one of the biggest revelations in European football last season, as he took the Inaugural Conference League by storm, scoring 10 goals to win the golden shoe.
He’s currently contracted to KRC Genk, but his future at the Club remains a major speculation.
The striker has been linked with a move to Spanish and Italian clubs and the latest to show interest is newly promoted Serie A outfit Cremonese.
While speaking to the press after Sunday’s game, Dessers was asked about his future with Genk and interest from Cremonese.
“You will have to ask there (Genk). Cremonese not a big club? But Serie A is a top competition and that’s what I dream of. It’s all a matter of waiting,” the Striker said.
Dessers opened his season account for Genk in their 3-2 defeat to Club Brugge.
