Forward Cyriel Dessers has earned a recall to the Nigeria Men’s National team for the upcoming international matches.
It was Dessers first invitation to the squad since making his debut in a friendly game against Tunisia on October 30, 2020.
“Proud and honored to represent such a great football nation as Nigeria,” the striker said at the time.
The Forward had been left out of the squad recently, but his form for Feyenoord this season is hard to ignore.
Dessers, 27, is one of the Nigeria’s most in form strikers in Europe this season with 20 goals in all competitions.
The Player shared his excitement on the invitation handed to by Coach Salisu Yusuf.
He Tweeted: We’re back, let’s gooo Nigeria – with an Eagle Emoji

And with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and Leicester City attacker Kelechi Iheanacho missing from the 30-man squad released on Tuesday, Dessers is a strong candidate to lead the attack when Nigeria face Mexico on May 29 and Ecuador five days later.
