Dessers ends goal drought for Cremonese

Cyriel Dessers finally got his name on the score sheet for Cremonese since arriving from Genk in July.

The striker had failed to score in eight previous league games for Cremonese, before breaking his duck in Sunday’s league game against Napoli.

The forward pounced on an error from Napoli goalkeeper Alex Meret to draw Cremonese level.

His goal cancelled out Matteo Politano’s first-half opener for the Serie A leaders.

Dessers was on For 72 minutes and he created two chances, made two key passes and attempted two shots on goal, one of them was the goal.

Napoli however reclaimed their lead four minutes after Dessers exit, with Giovanni Simeone scoring yet again after another substitute appearance.

Hirving Lozano and Mathias Olivera scored other goals for Napoli to maintain their perfect start to the Serie A.

The Partenopei have won seven of their opening matches and drawn two, their best ever start to a league season.
