Dessers flopped, Okereke concedes penalty as Cremonese woes linger

Cyriel Dessers continues his poor run of form in the Serie A as he fired blank in Cremonese’ 1-1 draw at home against Lecce on Sunday.

Having failed to score in seven previous games, Dessers was dropped to the bench for the clash with Lecce by coach Massimiliano Alvini.

The manager opted to pair David Okereke with a veteran forward Daniel Ciofani, a 37-year-old.

The coach turned to Dessers in the final 25 minutes of the second half, but the Nigerian Forward made no difference.

Dessers had zero (0) shots on target, zero (0) shots on goal and only two (2) touches all through the match.

Meanwhile his compatriot David Okereke also endured a frustrating outing as picked up a yellow card and conceded a penalty.

The outcome means Cremonese are still without a win after eight league games.
