Cyriel Dessers says his parent Club KRC Genk are still in touch with him, but hasn’t made a decision over his next move.
Dessers is currently with Feyenoord on a season long loan and has shown interest in keeping the forward beyond his loan spell.
The Dutch giants has until June 1st to exercise their right to sign the striker in a permanent deal, but are reluctant to meet Genk’s €4million asking price for the player.
“I have received messages from Genk, they have clearly not forgotten me” he was quoted on Voetbol.com
“I have received messages from Genk, yes. From the assistants and the chairman. They have clearly not forgotten me yet,”
On his preferred destination, Dessers said he’ll have to wait for the clubs to reach agreement.
“I’m waiting, it all depends on what is decided in the boardrooms. If I can choose where my future lies? Then do Barcelona or Chelsea. (laughs) Not everything can be chosen, of course.” He said.
CyrielDessers, 27, scored two goals in Feyenoord’s 3-2 win against Marseille in the first leg of UEFA Conference League last week.
