Cyriel Dessers continued his fine run of form, scoring his 26th goal of the season to help Rangers cruise to a 4-0 victory over Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership.

Dessers thought he had opened the scoring just before halftime when he found the back of the net in stoppage time.

However, his effort was ruled out for offside following a VAR review. Undeterred, Rangers came out firing in the second half and quickly asserted their dominance.

Václav Černý broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, finishing off a well-worked move to give the hosts the lead. Just six minutes later, Dessers added his name to the scoresheet.

The 30-year-old was in the right place at the right time to steer home a low cross from Nico Raskin, doubling Rangers’ advantage with a composed finish inside the box.

The goal took Dessers’ tally to 26 for the season, alongside seven assists in 53 appearances across all competitions.

He was substituted in the 80th minute to a rousing ovation from the Ibrox crowd, who are beginning to fully appreciate his impact.

His consistent scoring form also serves as a timely message to Super Eagles selectors ahead of the upcoming Unity Cup.

With double figures in goals and a growing influence in big games, Dessers is making a strong case for an international recall, while also reaffirming his value to a Rangers side eyeing a strong finish to their campaign.
