Former Super Eagles chief coach and captain, Sunday Oliseh has paid tribute to football great Diego Maradona, who passed away on Wednesday.
Maradona reportedly died of cardiac arrest in his home town in Argentina few days after he went under knife after medics discover blood clot from his brain.
His passing was a huge shock to the entire football community and Oliseh took to his social media handle to pay tribute to the enigmatic midfielder.
“Sad day not just for football but for Mankind as we loose arguably the best player ever to play football. So how Diego’s death pains me in a strange kind of way, I can’t seem to understand right now. May his blessed soul Rest in peace” he wrote.

Oliseh faced Maradona during FIFA World Cup match between Nigeria and Argentina back in 1994.
The former Argentine captain led his country to a 2 – 1 win over Nigeria, he also orchestrated another victory for his coach in 2010 World Cup, but this time as a coach.
