Former Super Eagles Midfielder, Christian Obodo has appealed to fans not to put pressure on the Team ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
Obodo, in an interview with Ifeanyi Udeze on Brila FM’s breakfast show ‘No Holds Barred’, said, “What we need to do is support and sustain them for these two games (Rwanda and Zimbabwe).

‘We must win every game, but we do not need to give them pressure or it will become difficult. The coach should give them good motivation, communicate with them and I believe everything will go well.’

He went on to say he believes the Eagles could end their winless away run against Rwanda on
Friday.
‘We do not need to underrate our opponent. Give them the respect because they are playing in front of their own fans. With the caliber of players we have, we should give all that we have. I believe we can come out with victory.’
