Don’t Blame Aigbogun! We don’t have great U20 players – Aduku

Don’t Blame Aigbogun! We don’t have great U20 players – Aduku

Nigeria’s Flying Eagles failed to progress beyond the second round at the FIFA U20 World Cup, in successive editions of the competition; the latest defeat coming on Monday at the hands of Senegal.
The young Teranga Lions lived up to the pre game rating as favorites, and a 2-1 win over Paul Aigbogun’s should further lead to questions being asked of Nigeria’s  youth football programs, according to former Flying Eagles player Moses Aduku.
In Poland, Aigbogun’s men only managed a single win, losing two and drawing one of their games. They scored 6 goals, but conceded 5 in the process and it is such stats that’s seen the team come under many criticism.
However, Aduku, who is the current Coach of the NWPL champions, Bayelsa Queens argues that the Coach is not entirely culpable in the teams Shambolic show.
He insists the quality of players available to the Coaches at that level was always going to prove difficult and maintains more needs to be done to promote a vibrant football youth program in the country.
