Nigeria’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualification hangs in the balance as things stand and so the Super Eagles cannot afford to lose any of their remaining qualifying matches, according to former Head Coach Christian Chukwu.
Nigeria currently sits third in the Group E table; just a point off Libya and South Africa, but Chukwu expects a tough contest over the two legs of the qualifiers against Libya.
‘We cannot gamble with any of the games we have left to play and especially, we cannot afford to lose any of the matches we have left to play.
‘We mustn’t take any of our group opponents for granted and we must put in the work to get our chances of qualifying for the Afcon back on track,’ Chukwu told Brila.net
The first-leg comes up on October 12 in Katsina before the two teams head off to Sfax, Tunisia for the second-leg.
