Former Nigeria national team goalkeeper Joseph Dosu has urged Super Eagles handler, Gernot Rohr, to hand the three invited shot-stoppers game time when the team file out in next month’s international friendlies against Cote d’Ivoire and Tunisia in the bid to seek a lasting solution to the national team goalkeeping debacle.
Dosu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net hailed the coaches to have been brave enough to try out new hands in goal with the three invited goalkeepers but added that handing the chances to all shot stoppers will be good enough a way to see what they all have to offer the national team of Nigeria.
“Kudos to the coaches for inviting Alampasu and Yakubu into the team, I hope they will have the opportunity to keep because Okoye has been called all the time and he has not been in goal so for sure this will be an opportunity for us to see Okoye.
What is important is it is a friendly game where we want to see everybody, the coaches will see their performance and still retain them in the national team if they do very well. So for me I think the coaches have done very well by inviting those three chaps back to the national team.”
