Dr. Larry Izamoje To Be Honoured By National Institute of Sports

On Thursday, May 25th, 2023, the National Institute for Sports (NIS) in Lagos, will host a convocation ceremony to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the institute.

During the ceremony, Chairman/CEO of Brila Media, Dr. Larry Izamoje and four other esteemed individuals will be awarded the prestigious Fellowship of the Institute.

 

 

At a press conference held to announce the event, Director-General Professor Olawale Moronkola stated that the honour would be bestowed in recognition of their accomplishments and their efforts in promoting Nigerian sports in good light.

Those to receive awards include Chief Sunday Dare, Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chairman/CEO of Brila FM, Dr. Larry Izamoje, former Green Eagles captain, Dr Segun Odegbami, Sir Adebutu Kessington, and businesswoman Mrs. Modupeola Lawale.

The Director-General expressed his appreciation for the five individuals being recognized, for their immense contributions to the advancement of sports in Nigeria.

At the event, certificates will be distributed to 530 students from the 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 classes.

“This is the first time the Institute is conferring Fellowship on individuals, hence the convocation is remarkable.The Institute believes in setting standards and encouraging overall National development through sports. This Fellowship is being bestowed on these people in line with the tradition of tertiary institutions.”
