South Africa is in shock following the passing of legendary boxing trainer Nick Durandt.
Durandt, who was the president of the Crusaders Bike Club, collided with a vehicle between Bethlehem and Clarens, earlier on Friday.
His son Damien says the accident happened outside Bethlehem.
Durandt, 53, collided with a vehicle that was turning. He died in hospital.
Having trained and managed more world champions than any other South African trainer and manager, Nick has no equal in the history of South African boxing.
During his career, he produced 95 South African champs in all 17 weight divisions, 38 world champs and 27 international champions.
His father Cliff, played professional football for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic.
