Dyche Effect!!! Iwobi’s Everton downs league leaders Arsenal

Sean Dyche will be a satisfied man after he did the impossible in his first game in charge of relegation threatened Everton, the Englishman masterminded a famous 1-0 victory against Arsenal to snatch Everton’s first 3 point in four months.

Arsenal would only have themselves to blame as they failed to create clear cut chances despite having the Lion share of possession against a struggling Everton.

Just fresh from sacking Frank Lampard, Everton appointed relegation survival expert Sean Dyche and the new manger bounce was immediate.

Everton immediately started playing with purpose and made life unbearable for the likes of Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketiah and Martin Ødegaard, not only did they defend solidly, Everton would have felt they deserve to head into the break with the lead after creating clear cut chances but failed to convert.

The Toffees where particularly dangerous in set pieces and saw some of their best efforts in the first half come through corners.

Arsenal tried to get back into the game, but the hosts held on gallantly and applied every bit of negative antics to snatch their first league win since last October.

Alex Iwobi started the encounter on the left of a front three and did his bit defensively, he was also dangerous with his corners as Arsenal struggled to deal with Everton’s aerial presence all through.
