The Super Eagles’ Ibom Hotel and Resort Uyo quarters have witnessed the arrival of 22 out of the 23 players invited for the 2021 AFCON qualifying matches against Benin and Lesotho.
Kenneth Omeruo, Samuel Kalu and Ikechukwu Ezenwa were the early arrivals at the team’s camp on Sunday evening.
Team captain Ahmed Musa, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi , Jamilu Collins, Ola Aina, Maduka Okoye, Semi Ajayi, Ramon Azeez and Chidozie Awaziem, Victor Osimhen, and Daniel Akpeyi arrived at the team’s camp on Monday morning.
However, the team held their first training session within the premises of Ibom Hotel and Resort camp on Monday evening.
The eight players who arrived camp this morning are: Williams Troost-Ekong, Ifeanyi Anaemena , Mikel Agu, Joe Aribo, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, Paul Onuachu and Emmanuel Dennis.
According to Brila’s Mohammed Saliu, the only player expected to arrive the teams camp is Turkey-based Shehu Abdullahi
Musa will lead Super Eagles out against the Squirrels of Benin at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo on Wednesday.
Then Gernot Rohr’s team will travel to Maseru for the clash against the Crocodiles of Lesotho on Sunday.
