Ebube backs Lobi Stars forward to rediscover “Killer instinct”

Ebube Duru says that Lobi must learn how to kill off a game after seeing his side squander several chances against Dakkada on Sunday.

Lobi Stars needed a last minute penalty kick from Austin Ogunye to see off Dakkada FC at the Aper Aku stadium after Christian Ekong cancelled out Mattias Samuel’s free kick.

Kabir Dogo’s side should have won the game by wider margin, but they missed several gilt edge chances in the game, with Ossy Martins, Chinonso Okonkwo and Thomas Zenke the main culprits.

Speaking to brila.net after the game, Ebube admitted that the strikers have to be more clinical to avoid putting the team under pressure.

“We wasted a lot of chances against Dakkada and scoring goals will make life easier for the defenders, we need to convert our chances but the strikers have been doing well in the past few matches.

“I’m confident they will do better in our next matches and,” the Lobi Stars captain said.
