The duo of Otobong Effiong and Charles Atshimene have been ruled out of Akwa United’s match against FC Ifeanyi Ubah this Wednesday.
According to Akwa United Coach Kennedy Boboye, the influential have not recovered fully from the injury they sustained when the team was involved in auto crash last Friday.
The two players sat out of the training session on Monday, which means they are not in top shape for the game.
“We are grateful to God that all our players are in good condition and were part of our two training sessions ahead of the game.
“Only our Captain Otobong Effiong and striker Charles Atshimene are not in contention to due to minor injuries but everyone else is physically and psychologically ready to play on Wednesday,” Boboye said.
Charles Atshimene has been an important player for the Promise Keepers in this campaign as he has contributed three goals.
