Eguavoen says Ejuke is a candidate for attacking midfield position in Super Eagles

Austin Eguaveon says Chidera Ejuke could be one of the solutions to Super Eagles’ attacking problems.

The Super Eagles have struggled to create chances in recent games and they will going into the African Cup of Nations with the problem unresolved.

Everton’s player Alex Iwobi has played in the attacking midfield position, but he’s currently struggling for form, due to lack of playing time with his club.

However, Eguaveon has now suggested that, Ejuke who dazzled when given the role against Central African Republic in Cameroon could be given another opportunity.

“We have a Chidera Ejuke that looks like a better option but if he’s out of the game, we have to be flexible with our tactics.” Eguaveon said in the press conference on Monday.

The 33rd edition African Cup of Nations is billed to begin on January 9, through to February 6.

The Super Eagles are set to begin their campaign on January 11 against Egypt, before facing Sudan on January 15 and Guinea-Bissau on January 19.
