Eguma praises clinical Rivers United

Rivers United coach Stanley Eguma hailed his side clinical performance against Al Nasr on Wednesday.

The Pride of Rivers went on scoring spree, netting five time against the Libyans and conceeded none in the CAF Confederations Cup playoff.

The result is a perfect response to the heavy defeat suffered in the second-leg match of the Champions League qualifying round against Wydad Casablanca.

“No two games are the same, we played Wydad here and scored two goals and today we scored five goals.”Eguma told the news conference.

” They are two different things and two different occasions but that does not make Al Nasr a bad team.

The five goals scored against Al Nasr is Rivers United’s biggest win in CAF competitions.

“They came with tactics that would have fetched them good results but we countered them because we have been training.

”Our players were more clinical today than against Wydad, against the Moroccans had those chances but we were unable to convert them.

“Our conversion rate today (Wednesday) was better”, he said.

Eguma and his boys will be aiming to finish the job when they travel to Benghazi next week.
