Eguma satisfied with Rivers United goalless draw at Gombe United

Coach Stanley Eguma is pleased with Rivers United goalless 0-0 draw against Gombe United in the Nigeria Professional Football League clash on Sunday.

With Plateau United breathing on their neck, the Pride of Rivers needed at least a point from the game to retain their top spot in league standing .

Rivers United managed to get the assignment done at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe and they remain at the top of the NPFL table after 18 matches.

Rivers United’s goalkeeper, Sochima Victor was the hero as his saves kept side in the game.

And speaking with the media, birthday boy Eguma, stated that, he’s contented with the results .

“One good thing about the game is that today is my birthday. My players actually promised to give me a birthday gift by winning the game but we got a draw.”

“I saw their effort , they made frantic effort to win the game but a lot of scoring chances they missed especially in the first half, they would have rapped up the game.” Eguma stated.
