Eguma unfazed by Akwa Unied s threat

Rivers United technical Adviser, Stanley Eguma says he’s happy with the teams performance in the league match against Akwa United and won’t press the panic button over their inability to kill the game .

Rivers United took the lead in the first half and then wasted several opportunities to put the game to bed before the half time break .

However, they were made to pay for their missed chances as the host hit back almost immediately after the restart and subsequently picked a point from the game.

In a chat with the Rivers United media, Eguma spoke about the performance of his boys and his expectations in the second half of the season.

“We didn’t scored doesn’t mean there is a problem. We scored four in our last game and then divide it by two, that’s average if two goals in two games.”

“So we are still goalscoring side . We missed several chance today, but all the same we aren’t losing focus. The second round of the season is always the most difficult part because all teams would have reorganize and come back better.”

“This wasn’t the same Akwa United we played last time . They played better today and fought hard.”

“We are ready to continue with our business, but I repeat second round is always difficult, even with teams who are fighting relegation,” He said.
