William Troost-Ekong says he is excited to join Watford and he is determined to help the club regain promotion back to the Premier League.
Ekong signed for the Hornets in a £4milion deal from Italian Serie A side Udinese on Tuesday.
Ekong trained with Vladimir Ivic’s tutored side for the first time on Wednesday as he aimed to settle down quickly at the club.
While speaking to the club’s official website, The 27-year-old center-back said he determined to help regain their lost status in the English top flight.
“But I’m not there yet, the best is still to come and I want to try and win the Championship and then play in the Premier League with Watford,” he told the club website.
“I heard about the interest a few weeks ago and was excited about it.
” I’ve been waiting for it to happen the last seven days and now I’m excited to be here. I met the lads, League there is a good vibe and it’s easy to settle in.” he said.
Ekong signed a five-year contract with Watford and he could make his debut against Reading this weekend.
