Williams Troost-Ekong has revealed that he had a conversation with former Super Eagles teammates Odion Ighalo before agreeing to join Watford.
Ekong’s transfer from Udinese to Watford was announced on Tuesday after signing a five-year contract with the English side.
The 27-year-old said he contacted his former teammate, Odion Ighalo who also played for Hornets before he agreed to sign for the team.
“Ighalo used to be my roommate. I spoke to Odion last week. He only had good things to say about the club. He’s a great guy, a fantastic player and like a big brother for me.“ he said.
The transfer is in the region of £4milion and the Super Eagles defender could make his debut in Sky Bet Championship side game against Reading this weekend.
