William Troost Ekong was on from start to finish for Udinese who played out a goalless draw with Sassuolo in a Italian Serie A league game at Stadio Citta Del Tricolore on Sunday.
Ekong was making his 14th successive start for the Italian side since he arrived From Turkey and it was the fourth clean sheet of this season for the club.
Following 1:0 loss to AS Roma a week ago, Udinese was lucky toavoid another defeat in the hands of the Neroverdi ( The black and Green), thanks to good solid display from Ekong and his partners who made sure the team earned a point, as the attacking players struggled to create anything meaningful up front.
The draw means Ekong and his teammates will closer to drop zone, having recorded 13 points from 14 league games to stay in 16th position with a point behind 15th placed Spal and better goal difference ahead of Empoli in 17th position.
