Ligue 1 side AS Monaco are considering a summer move for Chelsea’s defender David Luiz and may involve Sports Director Michael Emenalo in bringing the Brazilian back to France.

Earlier in the campaign, Luiz was left out of Antonio Conte’s squad due to an alleged disagreement in training, though the player has also been suffering from an ongoing knee problem.

Goal reports that the Brazilian’s future at Stamford Bridge will depend on what happens to Antonio Conte over the summer.

Luiz has not featured for Chelsea since February 5 and has played just 17 times this season, with Andreas Christensen taking the 31-year-old’s place in the Blues backline.

It was also reported that Former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo, now at Monaco, will use his links with his former club to help spearhead his new employer’s bid to recruit David Luiz.

Chelsea re-signed Luiz from Paris Saint-Germain for £32m on transfer deadline day in August 2016.
