Emmanuel Dennis misses out on Watford POYA

Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis has missed out on the season’s Watford player of the year award.

The winners of Watford FC’s End of Season Awards were announced during the Hornets’ final home outing of the 2021/22 campaign, against Leicester City on Sunday (May 15).

Dennis who is by far the most important player in Watford’s season was beaten surprisingly beaten in the player of the season category.

Dennis has the most goals contributions (10 goals and 6 assists in 33 Premier League games) for Watford’s top scorer this season.

The Nigerian international however finished third in the online poll, behind veteran goalkeeper Ben Foster and eventually winner Hassane Kamara who signed for the club in January.

The winner, Kamara made instant impact since signing from French side OGC Nice in the January transfer window, with his committed performances from left-back proving a hit with the Watford faithful at home and on the road.

He scored his first goal in a Watford shirt against Manchester City in April.
