End Of An Era – Müller, Boateng And Hummels No Longer Part Of Löw’s Plans

German Coach has revealed that the trio of Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, and Jerome Boateng will no longer be contention for a place in the national team, as he’s ready to rebuild the team again after an unsuccessful outing at the 2018 World Cup.

Joachim Low who was lucky to keep his position as the German national team head coach after they crashed out of the Russia 2018 World Cup in the group stages confirmed he personally informed the Bayern Munich players they no longer have future with the National team.

He told reporters: “2019 is the year of the new start for the German national football team. We want to continue the upheaval that we initiated at the end of last year.”

“We want to give the team a new face. I am convinced that this is the right step. In the year of qualifying for the European Championship 2020, we are sending a clear signal of renewal: the young national team players will have the space they need to fully develop. You have to take responsibility now.”

The trio were key members of the 2014 World winning side in Brazil, Low, however, thanked the trio for their years of commitment to the national team

“I thank Mats, Jerome, and Thomas for the many successful, extraordinary and unique years together. In the national team, however, it is now important to set the course for the future.
