Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka has been omitted from the latest England squad list announced by the English National team manager, Gareth Southgate on Tuesday afternoon.
Southgate, although, handed senior call-ups to three players including Manchester United’s Mason Greenwood, Manchester City’s Phil Foden, and Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips, but there’s no place for Saka despite having no left-back in the squad.
It is understood that the NFF the have made the move after the British-born Nigerian attacker claimed he is of Nigerian heritage.
Saka represented England at the U16, U17, U18 and U19 levels and his recent form for the Gunners this season could see him move straight into the senior team.
But the Gunners wingers could change his mind because he was born in London to Nigerian parents which makes him eligible to wear the green and white colours for Nigeria.
So, do you think the latest England snub could influence Bukayo’s decision to play for Nigeria?
